A Beautiful Example of Peacemaking

“I’m not trying to change your mind. I just want to understand what you think.”

— Dana Epstein

My friend, Joan Blades, recently texted me an article about a group of people coming together and building relationships across different political opinions. I found it hopeful and inspiring. Especially given the apparent difficulty we have in communicating with each other over our differences across America. “Apparently” is a key word here. Maybe our differences aren’t as many as we think. Maybe what we value most we have in common more than we think. And maybe if we try what these people did, we would experience some remarkable relationship/peace building opportunities.

Joan is the cofounder of Living Room Conversations. An easy to use, no cost, resource to help you get started. I hope you’ll take a moment to read the article, check out the Living Room Conversation website, and even consider how you might start creating some fruitful peacemaking conversations yourself.
