Something to nourish you in heavy times

“Your great mistake is to act the drama as if you were alone”

― David Whyte

David Whyte pulls us back into the wonderous reality and opportunity which await us in the simple living of our lives. The news of the world breaks our hearts. Again and again. Such headlines and images can fill us with despair and darkness. And anger and distress. But there is more awaiting us than the latest mass school shooting. Or Russia’s Putin wreaking more destruction and refugees.

The more we can become aware of what awaits us in the moment of our simple living, the more we can be there for those who need us. Including ourselves.

David Whyte reads “Everything Is Waiting for You”

I have shared David Whyte before. Find my favorite poem of his here: Santiago
