National Poetry Month is Almost Over

I’m late to this party but…

This recent New York Times article highlights a number of ways to access poetry to fend of the coronavirus blues.

Here a several of my current favorites:

David Whyte. I’ve posted him before.

Mary Oliver

Wendell Berry

Billy Collins (Thanks to TA-FA members Doug & Jeff Christensen for this newer discovery)

And then, not anywhere near the quality, maturity, depth, or beauty of these fine poets, is a poem of mine, that Dialogue, a Journal of Mormon Thought, printed in their most recent Winter issue. I mostly share this because it is an environmental poem. (Thanks to Andi Pitcher-Davis for inviting me to write this piece on the hymn it springs from.)

What are some of your favorite poems and poets? Please share!
