Ways to Engage in Earth Day
Fifty years ago the earth turned a corner in its health because enough humans had the humanity to better care for it. Water and air quality improved, awareness of chemical pollution and the plight of endangered species became heighted and much more.
But we have continued to extort from the earth its gifts rather than use them with wisdom and appreciation. A world pandemic has given us a view of our impact in just a brief time. And it has given us a moment to reflect on how we work and how much we work to earn money to buy things that we may or may not need. It has given us time to consider what matters.
Here are just two resources to help us make the most of this moment:
History of Earth Day and live virtual Earth Day events
A week of ways to be good stewards of the earth: LDS Earth Stewardship
It seems so right to have Easter and Earth Day so approximate. Something to consider.
